ACE Spring Hiking Club
Grades 6-8 | April-June | $425-590/person | Limited to 10 participants
Join an avid outdoorsman and your peers on hiking adventures through local wilderness areas such as the Middlesex Fells Reservation, Walden Pond, and Blue Hills Reservation. We will engage our curiosity, seek out adventure, and prioritize safety, all while building strength and endurance on hikes of varying distances and challenges. Explore new trails while learning outdoor preparedness and Leave No Trace principles. This program will culminate in a full-day hike in the White Mountain National Forest, where you will test your endurance and the hiking skills you've built during the season. Transportation from Gibbs/OMS and all necessary equipment will be provided for both the club and the hike.
Students will be picked up from Gibbs (3:00pm) and Ottoson (3:15pm)
If supplies are needed for the afterschool hikes, we have them. For the White Mountain Hike, all supplies will be included including snacks, backpacks, hiking poles, and waterbottles. We hope all Hiking Club members will come along on the June 11th full-day hike.
Note: The full-day hike is open to Hiking Club members only, register separately.
